Dental examination and cleaning
The routine examination
During your first appointment at Al Dente Dental Clinic, a comprehensive comprehensive examination will be suggested.
During the complete examination, the oral evaluation was completed with meticulousness. Subsequently, routine examinations will be suggested to recheck all dental tissues and structures to ensure that there are no changes and prevent any future problems. Routine exams and cleaning can be scheduled every 3, 6, 9 or even 12 months, depending on your needs and requests.
What is the routine examination?
During your routine appointment, whether it is every 3, 6, 9 or 12 months, it is important to notify your dental hygienist of any changes to be made to your medical questionnaire, even the changes that seem trivial to you, because all medications can have side effects in the mouth.
During this appointment, your dental hygienist will briefly review everything that was assessed during your first meeting in order to note any changes that may occur in your mouth. Control X-rays may be necessary, we try to minimize radiation, but unfortunately X-rays are a very effective diagnostic tool.
Also, the dental hygienist will take a sample of dental plaque at each routine examination, in order to assess the bacteria present in the mouth.
And cleaning him??
Cleaning consists of removing the deposits on the teeth so that they become smooth again. The deposits found are either dental plaque or tartar.
Dental plaque is a deposit that is removed during brushing and flossing. Some places are difficult to reach, this is when dental plaque accumulates.
Tartar is the calcification of dental plaque. It is very tenacious and does not come off easily. It is the basis of gum disease and even some cavities. Only your dental hygienist is trained to remove tartar deposits. We can find them on the tooth as well as on the root, and even under the gum.
